Poland and Czech Republic

page 11  - Krakow

A rainy street in Krakow.  I thought this picture looked a little bit like those artsy black-and-white pictures you sometimes see from Europe.  So I want to prove to you that there is actually supposed to be color in those pictures.

It rained a lot during my trip.  This provided me the opportunity to sample Polish cuisine and beverages more.  My favorite beer over there is called Ziwiec.  My favorite vodka is, um, Polish vodka.  But you're not supposed to know this, since I didn't drink any vodka.

While we were enjoying a beer I asked the friendly waitress if I could have my picture taken with her.  Actually, my host Karolina asked for me, since I didn't know how and thought the waitress looked busy.  She agreed.  No, I didn't get her name or telephone number.  Maybe next time I go to Krakow, I will.

Since I'm on vacation I have to wear the green 'nie robie' (not working) shirt according to European law.  That way everyone knows I'm on vacation and no one will bother to ask me for directions or for a status report.  Really.
